On May 26, 2015, led and organized by ICMCA, joint-sponsored by several organizations and governmental agencies as China Artists Association, Shaanxi Provincial Artists Association and etc., the “willfulness of lives --- Tian Jun Chinese Paintings Show” was ceremoniously held in Dalian Modern Museum.

The opening ceremony was hosted by the director of DMA Mr. Xinghang WANG. Governors, celebrities from art circle and distinguished guests from all society totally over 500 people were present at the ceremony, including Mr. Changhai DONG the managing committeeman of CCP Dalian Municipal Committee & director of United Front Work Department who gave the speech of congratulations, Vice Director of Dalian People’s Congress Mme. Lirong SHEN and other governors from publicity department of CCP Dalian Municipal Committee, Dalian People’s Congress, Dalian municipal government, Dalian CPPCC, Dalian former municipal governors (former director of Dalian People’s Congress Mr. Guosheng BIAN, former chairman of Dalian CPPCC Mr. Qingmin LIN, former managing committeeman of CCP Dalian Municipal Committee & managing deputy mayor Mr. Zhenrong LI, former director of Discipline Inspection Committee Mr. Xizhi WANG and Mr. Huiquan WANG, deputy director Mr. Chengfa DONG, former managing committeeman of CCP Dalian Municipal Committee Mr. Erming WANG, and etc.), council member of China Artists Association, director of foreign exchange department of China National Academy of Paintings, vice dean of China Academy of Calligraphies and Paintings Mr. Baoli HU, chairman of China Promotion Association for national minority’s culture and arts Mr. Jianxin ZHAO, vice dean of China Academy of Calligraphies and Paintings Mr. Guan WANG, former chairman of Liaoning provincial association for literature and arts, vice chairman of Liaoning Provincial Youth Artists Association Mr. Qingli CHANG, renowned painters in Dalian such as Mr. Feng SHI, Mr. Wei WANG, Mr. Xuecun, Mr. Junfu YU and etc.

Mr. Jun TIAN is member of China Artists Association, national first grade artist, vice dean of Xian Chinese Paintings Academy, professional with special subsidy by the State Council. He devoted himself with great concentration to the research and study on Chinese painting arts for over thirty years. Mr. Jun TIAN gained great attention with his rich academic accomplishments and delicate pursuit for arts.

Mr. Jun TIAN’s artworks of Chinese paintings were put on show at domestic and overseas important significant exhibition events for many times. Some of the artworks were awarded gold, first, second, merit prizes and etc. He successively held his solo painting shows for times in China and overseas. Lots of his artworks have been collections of Chinese and overseas art galleries and museums, among which the Zhong Nan Hai leadership compound, Tian An Men, Great Hall of the People, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall and related state leaders all have his artworks as collections. His artistic achievements were recorded into many blue books.

Among Mr. Jun TIAN’s series of artworks in lotus theme on this show, the “Withering Lotus Series” artworks, in enriched colors and strong painting, have not only traditional charm of ancient colored pottery, bust also modern decorative effects of western paintings, showing the tenacity of lives, in unique painting style.

Over 100 birds and flowers paintings on this show are Chinese painting masterpieces created by Mr. Jun TIAN in the last thirty years. On the academic seminar held during the same period as the painting show, a dozen of critical theorists give academic discussions on Mr. Jun TIAN’s paintings and expressed their affirmative acceptance and praise to his positive exploration for heritage and development of Chinese birds and flowers paintings.

The painting show attracted much attention from all society. Major media in Dalian such as Dalian Television and newspapers Dalian Daily, Dalian Evening News, New New Business gave their particular reports for the show.
